Vocabulary definitions discussed in context while reading the chapters.
Still working on getting through chapters six and seven - students are reading with me and taking the place of the main character.
1. PRACTICE vocab via Quizlet and verify student definitions. 2. Chapters six and seven
Begin a letter to Father. Students explain (summarize) the highlights of chapters six and seven from Nathan's point of view as if he is writing a letter to send to his father on Tatoosh Island. Some of the vocab that can be used in the writing of the letter - four to five vocab words from any chapter need to be used anywhere in the letter. |

1. Cursive practice after explaining the letter to Father that students will write.
The practice page is as follows: 1. CONTINUE WRITING AFTER READING CHAPTERS orally with CLASSES that missed the reading during testing days.
2. Introductions is today's focus. . . a good lead is like a funnel narrowing down as a lead and hook into what the body will explain.
