Language Arts - Hours 1, 2, 4 & 6-7 Common Core Standards
Mon. |
First hour pledge
Due to NWEA testing, 4th hour will be the only "normal" academic class period. Therefore, 4th hour will have class time to work through chapter three's figurative language. 1st, 2nd, 6th and 7th hours will have to finish this by class time on Tuesday. THEY WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO WORK THROUGH filling in the blanks for the figurative language examples; they can be found in the chapters. THE CHART PORTION OF THE ASSIGNMENT CANNOT BE DONE BECAUSE WE DID NOT GET TO TAKE THE NECESSARY NOTES AND HOLD A CLASS DISCUSSION about the types of figurative language. We will do this on Tuesday. Resources required at this point in the unit: Novel synopsis As we read, we need to make sure to list elements of narrative and features of the mystery genre for support and proof that this novel is a mystery narrative.
