LUNCH MENU:
Last in-class work-day for autumn poem. Due on Wednesday. Rubric scoring is based on the following requirements: Have at least: four stanzas, four lines/stanza, four of your five senses used, four ways to say hello (16 pts); your wording takes me to your memories of autumn (7 pts); and your best effort (2 pts). Creativity bonus points will be awarded. :) |

LUNCH MENU: Three-meat subs and Tacos
1. Tapping into prior knowledge . . . IXL - students review fragments, sentences, and run-ons' then preview topic of discussion for 5-7 minutes to prepare them for the lesson. THIS IS NOT homework and does not have to be finished at this time. 2. Students share their discovery of a phrase vs. a fragment, sentence (clause), and run-on. 3. Back to taking notes in foldable for fragments and run-ons then add phrases definition to notes. 4. World's Longest Sentences . . . lead into adverb phrases. |

Check preps from yesterday (Pecos Bill 1-7) 3. Finish the next seven from the assignment . . . numbers 8-14 For numbers 8-14, after you write/type each sentence (SKIPPING A LINE BETWEEN EACH SENTENCE), do the following: Underline the main subject once, Underline the verb or verb phrase twice, Trace over the preposition in purple, then Box in the whole prep phrase in purple. |
